St Stephen> NFA!!!!!
My God in Heaven, the energy of this show.
This is one of those underrated, unrecognized gems primarily due to the mediocre SBD. To append the complete idiot "lilrichwhiteboy" who posted below, sound quality snobs won't like it. The mix great, just a bit of a muddy recording.
Now, performance-wise Holy SHIT... This show is almost too intense for words. It's a great performance, especially the 2nd set. A GEM. And I'm sure the cocaine helped.
The first set is full of goodness. Let it Grow is the best I have ever heard. Incredible.
Second Set- Just hold on to your fucking hats people....
St. Stephen>NFA is arguably the best of '77, maybe even ever. Probably my favorite NFA- tight, powerful, incredible energy among the whole band. The jam after the first verse of NFA is INSANE...it gets to that level where it's so intense that it isn't really music so much anymore. It's more just sonic spaceflight or something that only the Dead can achieve. Brilliant.

Best copy of this wonderful show yet!
I totally disagree with lilrichwhiteboy, that this is 'a disaster', ??? What? This is the best version of this show. The Bertha>Good Lovin is just crazy, Phil comes out the gate just thumping, and this Bertha has a unique feel to it, just 'in the pocket', and Jerry's solo on the good lovin is stunning. Every song smokes in the 1st set, finishing with a Let it Grow that stands with all the other excellent 77 versions. The 2nd set starts with yet another consistently powerful 77 Samson, and after Donna sings 'sunshine', the meat of the show - Terrapin>St. Stephen>NFA>Stella Blue>Sugar Mags>Truckin with a Saturday Night encore.. The St.Stephen is IMO one of the best ever.

seriously listen to ST STEPHEN
Wow Jerry just create a melody out of thin air and runs with it! Throw in some power chords to build momentum and you have an amazing jam

Terrrapin > St. Stephen > NFA !!!
The really unfortunate thing about this show is that the SBD recording is oversaturated and sounds horrible and nothing Dave could do could change that fact. Adding the AUD makes it even worse. It's a disaster all around. But among the ruins of what could have been a classic show is the surprise
31:47 Terrrapin > St. Stephen > NFA run which, for some reason, isn't as badly oversaturated as the rest (thank goodness) - and smokes! And Dave expertly fades in and fades out an AUD portion of a cut NFA that you gotta hear. If there was anything worthwhile in Mr. Usborne working on this show, it was seamlessly fixing NFA for our listening pleasure. Thanks Dave.
