You know better, but I know him..
This is a really good show.
Set One is compact but gets the job done
Set Two is a nice mix of rockers and ballads
IMHBTR-sweet
Dig Donna Jean
and yes Keith keys good in the mix.
Nice harmonies on He's Gone!
The jam out of drums is Jazzy Funk
and seemed to spring from Garcia's first notes outta drumz..
Weir sing songs TOO as the jam intensifies..

Milking the Turkey tease
Check out the Milking the Turkey tease/jam starting around
3:04 during the Jam > Other One segment. I agree this is a sleeper show that I would not normally pick based on the set list alone

Chicago 2-1-78"
This is. very surprising 78".The second set jam into The Other One is incredible and what the Dead are all about.Set 2 has some very exploratory jamming for 78".The show is definitely a must listen.

Nice recording!
I wouldn't normally rate a show that had so much typical-78-quality (lazy) material on it with 5 stars, but this show is a big exception. The second set is one of the most musically wonderful moments of GD history you'll ever hear.
