Early Brent
Brent was on fire around this time, such a huge change from Keith Godchaux's nearly catatonic last tours.

Stanly theatre: best sound ever.
My friend and I hitch hike from New York to Pittsburgh for this show. We gave ourselves 8 hours to get there and made it on time. I fondly recall standing in front of the GW bridge with a Pittburgh sign, having Pennsylvania troopers warning us to get off the highway or they will seach us "and you know you will be in trouble", Getting dropped off in Harrisburgh on one highway and seeing a couple of Dead jackets on the next. We ran down to find out that they too were hitching their way. The gal who already stopped for them gave us all a right straight to the Stanley!. She was a med student who never met deadheads before. Oh, and the show was great! The cleanest sounds I have ever heard the dead play. Thanks for uploading this show!

Best Of All The Stanley Theatre Recordings...
Mr. Vernon really out-did himself re-working this show. Other recordings are largely un-listenable. This matrix blend really brings the quality up.
Thank you, Matthew!
Set list is MOTR for the period, but this re-working of the audio shows that the band was playing tightly, and with a lot of good energy.

Stompin' with Phil
First off, fantastic matrix work. Keeps the clarity and sharpness of the SBD and adds just enough AUD to fill out the sound and give it that extra punch. Great show as well, as is most of Fall 79. Can't go wrong with this one.
