Notes
TAPER NOTES: Set I and II where recorded by the same equipment; but in two very different locations. Set II was taped in front of the Sound Board (FOB) and it sounds fabulous; it has a deep-rich bass presence and a near perfect mix of Jerry’s Killer Guitar Playing (it was the last Show of ’83 Summer Tour); However, Set I we got there late to get started, as a result, we had to set up in poor location for taping; Set I we were (a) fare left of Center, in front of Phil; (b) halfway between the FOB and the stage. Our Set I location created some minor bass saturation issues and Jerry’s Guitar was not as bright sounding as I’m accustom too; Set I is still really good to listen too (especially after the first song), but not a great recording by my standards; it does have a clean sounding voice mix which make it a keeper (Set I is a B+ recording; whereas, Set II gets a sold A rating for all of the above reasons).
