Subject: My first tape
First full show I had passed to me when I was 14 (1987?)
China/Rider wails. High Time a treat. Fragile China Doll out of space is a gem. Get it!
Subject: Really nice recording and hot show !
A great 1st set with a rare 1st "I Need a Miracle" and almost a pure rock and roll set with no real psychedelic jams like a Birdsong or Let it Grow. The second set is also rocking but features a rare second treat of "High Time" But, Look Out! It's a really nice Estimated > Eyes with a really cool vocal effects on Weir with audience gasps and then Phil throws the famous bombs before settling into Eyes intro. The post space is rocking too with a impromptu Lovelight as if the band didn't have enough time to leave stage for an encore. Yes, Garcia has some gravel vocals but when Jerry doesn't sing top notch; he plays ALOT of guitar with verve! This is worth a download a nice upfront full sound that is relatively balanced with a stereo image.
