When they bring that wagon round
Amazing that nobody has posted about this show in almost 9 long years.
Yes, the Sugaree certainly jacks up the intensity level only 2nd tune in.
3 tunes in this set over 10 minutes-Sugaree, Bird Song, Let It Grow
2 tunes over 9 minutes-Rooster, Used to love her.
Jack Straw had some sound issues to open.
The Roses-always nice to get this tune!
2nd set is a like a fantasy set list:
Help ->Slipknot! ->Franklin's
This is the most consistent
show of the year so far.
Still some Garcia
lyric flubs
but musically hot!
Well, there is no pause
between Franklin's
so>>>>>>>>>
Estimated ->Eyes ->
Drums ->Space ->Miracle ->
MIRACLE is a pretty rowdy choice
coming out of space!!!
Cool Transition from
Miracle to China Doll
Almost like a fugue sound.
China Doll ->GDTRFB ->
(A ballad & rocker from Garcia)
"I AM GOING DOWN THE ROAD
FEELING BAD, BAD, BAD"
hope you can smile
as you sing that :)
Not an extended version but dig the way
the opening chords of Good Lovin
mix with the end of GDTRFB
Good Lovin'
"EVEN A BLIND MAN , KNOWS
WHEN THE SUN IS SHINNING"
Push Back the Night!
WOW!!!

e) Keep that day job.
"Never underrate that paycheck power"
Aside from the sorely overplayed encore
this is easily 5 laughing bones
if they had played this
show at Nassau (instead of Springfield)
it would be much collected.
One of my favorite things about 85
were the tight transitions
and this show has them aplenty.
