Actually pretty decent
Considering where JG was in this time period, this one is pretty solid.

Mixed Audio
Good show, good sound, 4 songs are audience recordings though. That was all I had to say but, it's alright.

HBD, USA!
To my memory Dylan w TP & heartbreakers played after GD at this one. Love Dylan, but I think we split for cold beer in vehicle before set was over! Nice sound here!

Some good (and also funny) parts. Cold Rain into Fire is fun. Nice Wheel, with Bobby waxing poetic: "America is, at its backbone, an agrarian nation. Let's keep it turning." Maybe this was part of the whole FarmAid benefit thing, but anyway, I never heard truer words. Reminds me of how optimistic I was that year, and living now reminds me constantly of how much I hate former President Regan. At least some folks got some good work done on his watch; never mind that we thought we were going to end starvation and farm-attrition by going to a rock concert...although I guess I shouldn't crow about how in touch with reality we were.
I didn't know much about the Dead in 1986. A couple kids at my school when I was 16 (an alternative school in western MA run by anarchist educators) brought back some news and experiences from a show and that changed my life to some considerable extent. But I wasn't to hear them for another couple of years.

Leaving Texas 4th day of July..
By no means is this the Grateful Dead at their best..but I like to rank shows from each year..not saying one year is better then the other..I simply LOVE the music and get bored with pissing matches. For 86' this was definitely a highlight! I attended this show as well and had a blast Truckin up to Buffalo>>>One thing I do remember about this summer was that almost no weed to be found.. thanx to Mr.
Reagan!! It was a beautiful day..but a long one..Petty/Dylan & Petty/Grateful Dead..all in all a solid show>>Nice sound on this board..so please GIVE IT A WHIRL! Forever Grateful>Forever Dead

opening act
The Dead opened for Dylan & Petty this day. The start of second set a quick moving thunder storm rolled in if you listen close you can hear the thunder during Fire.
