Subject: Amazing Set at a rare venue
Subject: a mono FM broadcast?
Yep, not a bad 1990 late spring show. It always comes down to the source and anyone that has listened to a lot of live bootleg or fan based recordings knows they can be unforgiving; sometimes with new technology it can't be improved. Alas, this is the case for this source; a great effort by our crack team of enthusiasts but this FM broadcast is in mono. I kid you not, on my main rig in my studio I use a Mackie Big Knob for a general input monitoring. It has a "mono" button, when I press it, there is no stereo to collapse, so the source is mono. That's not a bad thing but for a 1990 FM broadcast is highly unusual. What are ya gonna do ...?
The show it self is average but with a great setlist in my opinion. It's not a bad listen but sounds rather Lo Fi ... might be a campfire boombox listen if you know what I mean... maybe some body can grab a different soundboard source ?
