Remember looking at Brent's bulging red eyes during the set closer and getting chills.
Looking Back-- Everything after Brent's passing felt kinda like an encore to me. like the heart of the band's music had already been accomplished. But hey Heads were saying that when Pigpen passed. So just from my perspective.
THE HARVEST
Someday soon the Autumn rains going to turn to snow
See how the once green grass, no longer grows
Everything is gathered and nothing more is owed
We groove under the Harvest Moon
Thankful for fields of plenty
True love is young love
ask them why they say
it has no borders or boundaries
like a fast running stream
I am glad the rivers run freely
and there are trees
from which the leaves can fall
And there are children
speakingnew languages
only they can understand
Clad in rainbow color
with Sunshine in their eyes
We groove under the Harvest moon
Thankful for fields of plenty
Children and their smiles
Wise Love is older Love
Ask me why I will say
It stands the test of time
Old Faithful
On Sunday Morning
All the ties that bind
I hear the echo's of History
A scream, a laugh , a smile
See how each generation finds its common ground
And there are elders
so full of wisdom
with stories of our past
and clues of Things to Come
Listen they are wise
Break the Bread
Toast with Wine
Give thanks
For these times
We groove under the Harvest moon
thankful for fields of plenty
and life's Unbroken Chain.
