3/31/91 and 4/01/91 are just one show
I was there, and trust me - these two nights were just one show with a 20 hour intermission.
PITB started on 3/31, finished on 4/01
Dark Star teased on 3/31, played on 4/01
Oh my, the Mighty Swell! and EYES!!! Is there any better???

My .02
I jumped on at Hampton in ‘87. “Terrapin Tuesday” was my first show. I love Brent and the Brent era, and after his death, I stayed on, but it was never really that good/fun. Vince? Meh. Bruce shows always had potential, and these 2 nights in Greensboro proved that. They did a masterful job of tying the 2 second sets together. I love Jerry’s Darkstar tease coming out of an incredibly spacey Playin’ and how no one bites. As if telling him “ you already had your fun with Eyes”. Then, to tie it all back together the following night with Darkstar back into Playin’! Brilliant! This might be the best/most creative 2 night run, dare I say, ever. 😉. Jerry always loved playing with Bruce! Close your eyes, put yourself 5th row dead center, turn it up, and bliss out, ‘cause it doesn’t get much better than this.

Eye's of the World
The best eye's of 1990-95?! I think so, I never get tired of it. It's long...but totally focused. almost like 74 ha, but not quite. Anyway I remember hearing this the first time and was blown away. Also we get a playing after eyes! Wow for early 91 and late 90 they still had some energy.

Dark Star Tease
I am going to have to listen to the one you are talking about. But I thought I heard a few notes of DS at the end of the Playing. Always good stuff.

Wake up to find out
I attended both of these Greensboro shows..had a blast!! This night was for sure the better of the two..When everything merged just so and something beautiful and powerful comes out of it..As my memory holds..there was a power outage at the beginning of the 2nd set???? but don't hold me to it..I enjoyed the 1st set and it started out well with a nice 1/2 Step..nothing crazy, just well played And YES Bruce was a key factor..Jerry was diggin' him for sure, but I wasn't prepared for what was unleashed in the 2nd set I hold it up there in some of my best post Brent era shows..so please GIVE IT A WHIRL!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice Upgrade
This is a balanced sounding Vince/Bruce era show with high energy performing from all the boys.
The "Samson" and "Eyes" that made it as filler onto Dick's Picks Volume 17 are the highlights of the show.
This is Bruce Hornsby's first show with the band that year, taking a break for the (IMHO) weaker February and March shows. Bruce's presence brings back focus and makes this Greensboro show, and the following night's performance standout.
Thanks for the upgrade Charlie.
