Subject: pretty cool
This show seems to progressively grow legs until it's writhing. Early on, Garcia seems to be just hanging on, still putting out some juice, but not all there.
Then second set, it starts to gel and the x factor really kicks in. There are blown lyrics all night, but the desire is there. In set 2 Garcia finds his old-self, and the magic is certainly there in many places. The post-space Garcia ballad, though with a few blown lyrics, is just off the hook with energy and beauty.
If you're into the late-dead, unpredictable Garcia roll-of-the-dice, with the sometimes interesting and exciting angle that it brings out in the band...then this one, with patience, pays off.
IMHO....my 2 cents......
