Subject: Janis lovelight Recording
Anyone have a downloadable version of this love light? unbelievable energy and emotion throughout..can tell there is real love between piggy of janis, hope they still enjoy each others sweet sweet lovein' up in heaven.. please let me know if you have a copy for me, would be the real danks of my collection.

Subject: Down and Dirty
I happened across this show using the "this day in history" feature and boy am I happy I did for the Lovelight alone. The constant rap between Pigpen, Janis and the Crowd is amazing. The energy at this show must have been incredible. Not the most epic Lovelight, but an interesting version to say the least.

Well. Now we know... what PigPen liked, and what Janis didn't. Ever the crowd-pleaser, Janis acknowledges that "We still might be able to get it together." And indeed they do.

Sound is great, and while the whole show is very good, it's Lovelight that I keep playing over and over and over. Some neat interplay between Janis and Jerry about 3 minutes in... a filthy exchange with PigPen starting around 4 minutes, lots of wailing and crowd interplay, a classic disassemble/reassemble jam, and then the vocal finale, slightly awkward, but geez, they were improvising. This show was just a couple of weeks after the Festival Express tour, and the energy is perfect.

This may be the sexiest performance in the history of rock.

Subject: Raunchy Lovelight
Nice early Candyman and China/Rider in this short download, but check out the downright raunchy Lovelight interaction between Janis and Pigpen. She keeps tryin' to get him going, but he won't rap. Oh well, with this crisp, but hissy tape, you can almost smell the pheromones :)

This was one of the best nights of my life, so I'm glad to have found these recordings.

Not to seem un-grateful, but there was a NRPS set too, which featured Pigpen-Janis duets on 2 Haggard drinking tunes, Last Night the Bottle Let Me Down and Swinging Doors.
