Jerry is low and the night before was better.
Night #2 of this Boston run and so far for me, the first night was better than this one. The SB mix is very nice but Jerry is kind of buried, which is a shame because he's got some nice things happening. Keith, OTOH, is high up.
Highlights.....
Row Jimmy (I just learned from his audiobook that this was Bill Kreutzmann's favorite Hunter/Garcia tune; imagine that). This tune never really got me until I was older.
Big River
Mission
Help>Slip> Franklin's
FOTD - not yet as slow as it would get in the 80s and very enjoyable.
Playin> Dancin' is great with Phil leading the charge.
I never realized until I began this 1976 deep dive how many of the same tunes they played almost every night; their set lists were very streamlined during this run and I guess in 1977 too. I wonder why that was?
I am still waiting to find "the one" of this tour and this show is certainly not it.

Great Show, Great Run
This whole run at the Boston Music Hall is fantastic. This show, while maybe not as good as the night before (or night after), is full of gems. What a grooving MNS... I think 76 was the finest year for this tune. The Mission in the Rain is a rare and beautiful treat. The highlight of this show for me though is the Playin'>Dancing. The transition between the 2 has some very cool and spacey jamming. Standout Help>Slipknot>Frankiln's as well.

Holy Keith!
Yeah yeah, I know that you can't hear Jerry very well, but every once in a while that's ok because you can concentrate on other things, like Keith here. As you will hear (or have heard), Keith is real high in the mix, especially during the first set, and it's a lot of fun to listen to him shine. I can't believe that I'm saying this, but I even liked They Love Each Other because of his playing, which almost never happens.
Keith aside, this show also features Mission in the Rain, an all-time favorite Jerry Band song, getting a rare workout by the Dead and an amazing amazing Help/Slipknot/Franklin's that I think is one of the best ever. Continuing from there, Let it Grow is also epic, another Keith moment shining!

Don't like being a critic.
Look, the sound quality is good, no prob, but where is Jerry's guitar? The mixing on this show is flawed. Jerry's is very low compared to the rest of the band. However Phil and Bobby's volumes and playing seem to take over and compensate for the low volume of Jerry Solo's. Also, they do not seem to be on. Jerry's solo's are often out of key. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy every performance but...

Everything Clicks
After hearing just Help>Slip>Franks I can tell you
that this is one of those magical nights where everything comes together. Donna even manages to
sing in tune and harmonizes great with Jerry!
The guitar playing is tight. Phil sounds great,
and Mickey and Bill are as tight as it comes. If
you don't download this one you are crazy! I predict it will become a Dick's Pick someday and
then you'll have to pay for it. If I had a friend
who wanted to know why I am so much into the Dead
I would play this for them.

Great sound
I love the mission in the rain into looks like rain. Lovely and relaxing jams. May not be as good as the night before but I would recommend all four nights. 5 stars for sound quality and balanced mixing.

This is good but not the best
Solid show all the way through but they do not play with sparkle or imagination of the night before which seems to have broken then 6/9 is the pick of the litter....
give this a 3 relative to the rest of the tour
