Great sound...
after the first couple minutes of 1/2 Step. Combine this with the second set located right above this one, and you have one amazing show. Severely underrated show, not many people give it a chance because the other version's first set sounds bad, hence the low ratings, hence no one listens. But trust me, it's a top 5-er for the year, no question.
Edit: Get the newer Charlie Miller version. Pristine quality(after the first 2 minutes of 1/2 Step.)

comes a time
when the run comes to a close, and all you can say is what a run it's been! i'm back front row center tonight and goddamn if half-step isn't just pure summer day-eo bliss as it crosses into the big river. best one yet? as has been the case this whole palladium run, every song is played really well, making repeats sound fresh. tonight's deal is particuarly noteworthy for jerry's fretwork, as is the LLR for the great bobby/donna vocals. i'm wiggling to the raging disco vamp of tonight's dancin' - might just wiggle my ass over to studio 54 post-show. but in the meantime, i'm going to dance my way to find my pal j. moore and hang with him for the second set...

Brave the storm to come
Love everything I hear from this month. Donnas harmony is bliss on cassidy and her back and farth with Bobby on LLR is exceptional. Wish we had the whole show, cheers.

happy 30th!
Happy 30th anniversary of 5/4/77!!!
I still don't know why this soundboard wasn't patched with the sub-par soundboard source thats also here on archive ... why the audience instead?
Not complaining though, thanks for adding this superior source!!!

Additional Credits
Proper recognition should be also extended to the following gents: 1) David Gans, who kindly sent me his first gen cassette to compare to existing sources, and 2) Peter Simon, who was permitted by Dan Healy to patch into the soundboard and make the master cassette tape.
