Subject: Really, really good
What a great 2nd set. The China/Rider is tremendous.

The recording is just a tad thin, particularly in the bass, but still quite good.

Subject: Booming Energy on a Hot Spring Night
When you listen to this tape it is just a very rough appoximation of what went down. The sound of the bass and everything else that boomed off the stage in those Trucking jams was balls to the wall as loud and intense as anything EVER, and there was and is no recording medium that could have captured it, let alone a casette tape. The guys onstage were jumping up and down and the energy was just raging higher and higher. There's a very special intensity, I think you can still tell from the tape, but maybe I just feel cause my memory is refreshed of what it was like being there on that hot spring night.

Subject: Very very good show
Yes I'm continously bummed that we don't have the boards but this is NOT a bad sounding aud tape...PLUS the ever translucent fact, this is really one very good show...the Truckin' that everyone rages about is not what I would call stella but there are many moments of pure inspiration and vitality involved all through the show. This is one show where they had a good time. Pick it up but here's my feelings on these downloads...get 'em while you can because I think the scumful dead are going to kill the whole thing once they figure out how to do it...and that means you Bobby.

Subject: NOT ALL THAT BAD !!
JEEEZZZZ,ALL THESE PEOPLE AND THERE REVIEWS, THE LAST REVIEWER SAID HE LISTENED TO ONE SONG AND MADE HIS DECISION ON THAT SONG, GOD DAMN PEOPLE, REMEMBER THE DAYS OF TAPE TRADEING, THANK THE LORD (JERRY) FOR ALL THE MUSIC AND THE GREAT TIMES, THE SHOW AINT BAD AT ALL ITS AN AUD RECORDING SO YOUR GOING TO HEAR THE CROWD AND ANYONE WHO LISTENES TO THE DEAD SHOULD KNOW THAT THERE ARE AUDIDENCE AND SOUNDBOARD TAPES, SO IM GIVING THIS SHOW A FIVE TO OFFSET THE LAST REVIEWERS RATEING, THE OTHER VERSION IS BETTER, BUT NOT BY MUCH, DOWNLOAD A FEW SONGS AND SEE FOR YOURSELF WHICH ONE YOU LIKE!!! ITS ONLY REALLY A FOUR STAR AND ONLY BECAUSE THERE IS A BETTER VERISON LISTED HERE, DAMN WE ARE SO SPOILED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reviewer: big jeff - [2.0 out of 5 stars] - May 9, 2005
Subject: not worth downloading
I downloaded one tune, "China Cat," just to see if I wanted to download the whole show, and, nah, you can barely hear Jerry singing, there's a lot of crowd noise, Phil isn't audible: There's too much excellent Dead music available to bother with this one.
