Subject: Sweet
I would have loved to been at this show. To have been able to see the rare China>Rider opener would have been enough for me.

Peace!

This is a fine performance and a great recording (I even like the audience patches - shows off that crowd energy). I'm partial to Philly shows - they loved playing that sardine can in South Philly - but what more could you want from a show? China-Rider opening, a stellar Music Never Stopped, a 22-minute Eyes (!) into Estimated-Franklin's ... what a setlist!
I think some people on here are a little jaded. You can't listen to Cornell, Harpur, RFK all the time ... enjoy some variety!

Nice show, different kind of setlist. I haven't seen China -> Rider as a first set opener too much at all. Easy To Love You as a second set opener is suprising, too. All in all, it's a good show, great Eyes, great Frankiln's Tower.

I have always LOVED this show, especially the Althea, Easy to Love You second set opener!! Oh yeah and the Eyes>Estimated>Franklin's!! Oh yeah, and the whole back-stretch. I do think the AUD sounds even better and more realistic, however I have since lost my analog copy on tape....Anybody still got theirs that's willing to put it up??? there still is an incentive as we can still download lossless versions of AUD, just not SBD's.

Subject: Well, there is the Eyes
Fabulous 22+ minute Eyes of the Workd - was the longest ever until 1994 when some Jerry wanderfest took over.

The pre-drums portion of the second set is 5*, everything else is 3*.

Now, there is floating around out there an absolutely AMAZING aud (three Nak 300s into a Nak 550 from the 11th row center) and I am absolutely AMAZED no one has uploaded it here.

So what's up with that?

Subject: MY POINT IS
Relatively uninspired but you really can't beat the setlist esp. the China-Rider opener. As I listen to the Stagger Lee and Peggy-O I can't help but invite people to compare them to almost any 1980's version (I like 6-14-85 Greek) because I think you'll see a strong argument for saying the band's musical evolution in the eighties wasn't really the sharp decline many heads claim. Jerry must be junked up because he is in a bit of a haze on these ones. He keeps up on some but isn't exactly winding the band up. Not the best, not the worst. Nice eyes -> seamless, and I mean seamless, transition right into estimated. Cool and unusual Brent piano solo in Estimated (8-19-80 Uptown is great too). I think there are better shows.

Not my favorite, not terrible, this show has something for everyone however. I must say the transition from China Cat > I Know Your Rider is definately uplifting and sweet. By the way, Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion and should not be called names for expressing it.

Subject: Ouch, we are not imbeciles
This guy below me should not call others imbeciles...especially just because the guy likes the sound quality of a show. C'mon now kids..Behave. 5 star show! woot woot!

Subject: Unexceptional
Not just for the time but in general. Plays nicely especially eyes but there are 2000 shows here not uninspiring and the fact this imbecile below me sid weiss gave this a 5 just galvanizes my decision.

Cape Cod, Landover, and New Haven were the picks of this tour this is just a filler then and now.

Subject: Yeah, get this one, too...
A good first set is followed by a spectacular second set. The Eyes is especially noteworthy as it clocks it at over 20 mins.

Subject: Not Much Here
Lovely sound, but not much happening musically. There are many other better 77 shows. (PS - I hate to write a review for fear someone was there and loved it; but, I wasn't and that's what I hear.)

Subject: very good show 4 1/2 stars
Grate China>Rider to start off a solid first set. Set two boasts a lengthy Eyes>Estimated>Franklins. The Franklins was just hypnotic, man. Only Jerry can take you there..
