Wowee! Talk about intimate! This is just downright weird. Another gem for the collection from archive.org. Thanks folks! I'm goin' 5 just for the "off-the-beaten-track" factor on this one. Well, and the Phil bottle neck solo. "Rock and Roll!"

Ragged but ultimately right, this show is a showcase for the Dead having an evening of sloppy, inspired fun. The recording is quite acceptable and the audience sounds wonderfully responsive to the music - listen to the roar of approval that greets "Althea".
Highlights: "Minglewood", "Althea", "Man Smart", "He's Gone", "Spoonful".

...were the Dead able to pull off a stealth show like this. The Melkweg's rear balcony is about 20 feet from the stage, if that. 15 people in this tiny room, and I got there eight years too late.
I just played the Rhythm Devils > Phil bottleneck > Other One on the radio today, from this source. Got a lot of calls of appreciation. Thanks, Michel!

Great sound! The better of the two recordings on Llama.
