Subject: ?? Loser ??
Has anyone but me noticed the solo in Loser> Holy cow man. Pretty hard core for Jerry, and all over the place. He seemed a bit rough around the edges to me. However, I love the band in this time period 82-85. All the abuse from hard drugs is really beginning to take its toll on Jer. It was the double edge sword though. We as fans got the benefit of some really intense shows but at the cost of old Jerry.
Love the shows in 82. MSG my favorite stop by far.
RIP JERRY, miss you every day brother :(

Subject: Lacking Bass
This is definately an awesome song list, however the recording lacks ANY low-end at all and I think the "fast Disco" sound you hear is due to incorrect tape speed.

I was fortunate enough to have seen the Grateful Dead 53 times, and this was one of the shows I was at. I saw most of my shows between 1982-1984, and it was indeed too short of a strange trip. This was when the band kinda played faster like "disco dead". They were in peak form this day, and the show was a rare treat in the sunshine of Southern California. Jerry was on fire, as you can hear from this tape!!! A+ quality
sound, on this recording. Phil blows it up!
Definitely give it a listen.
