These 3 shows were a lot of fun , although I prefer the rest of the tour. I say its a 4 star show with ok sound . Not one of my favorites yet still good. If that even makes any sense. That said this night the space is raw and tribal to my ears. Kesey on THUNDER MACHINE, Phil in lobby of Hilton in the morning before our ride to Idaho. I was young and having time of my life back then. Before these shows we went to the cougar hot springs spent the afternoon kicking back with old earth people loving the experience.
Somewhere someone mentioned long rides in between shows well this was a loooooooong ride to Boise but oh so very worth it. The Boise show is in my top 5 along with Starlight theater in 1982. Speaking of long rides the ride in 1984 from Pine knob to Starlight was a very long ride with tragedy along the way. Sad but true we lived on the edge sometimes without even knowing it.
