Good stream
While it's not a hot as the night before, this is another good show in a year chalk full of em. Gimme Some Lovin struggles but the boys quickly recover with a solid Half Step. Highlights of the first set are a very nice Birdsong and a smoking China Rider. 2nd Set is well jammed, especially the jam out of Playin and into drums. Great way to close out the run. Fantastic crisp sound.

Gone are the days we stopped to decide
With a few exceptions the first set of this show is pretty standard but things really heat up in the second set.
The first set is pretty average starting off with standard readings of Gimme' Some Lovin' and Half Step. The energy picks up with a smoking Minglewood and a brilliant Bird Song. This Bird Song is one of the best versions from the 80s featuring a soaring jam with great group improv and amazing lead work from Garcia. Unfortunately a lackluster Tons of Steel follows bringing things down before the set closing China>Rider. The China is a bit rough but the transition jam and Rider are very enthusiastic with intense soloing from Garcia. This ends the set on a high note.
The second set of this show is spectacular featuring a long continuous jam consisting of great versions of some classics. They start the set off with a very energetic Bucket that has some fiery leads from Garcia and passionate singing by Bobby. At it's conclusion Jerry segues into Crazy Fingers and the bands follow without missing a beat. The vocals are very good and Jerry gets ALL of the lyrics. This is a beautiful interpretation of this song with exquisite jamming and harmonies. One of the best versions ever performed. This must be heard. This segues into a long Playin>China Doll>Playin>Drums>Space>Playin jam which is another great highlight. After the lyrics they delve into a dark psychedelic jam that goes on for a while featuring some intense soloing from Jerry. He gradually slows things down and transitions into a beautiful China Doll. Again, Garcia's vocals are great and the harmonies are perfect. This version is very sweet with a nice outro jam that segues back into a Playin jam before Drums/Space. Space continues the dark psychedelic theme and goes noodling on for a few minutes before segueing into the Playin Reprise. At the conclusion Jerry slips into a soulful Wharf Rat. His vocals are a bit rough throughout but the emotion is there and his solo is soaring. This segues into a brief but energetic Throwing Stones>NFA to end the show. The She Belongs to Me encore is a nice treat and is the best performance of this song up to this point.

Yawn . . .
More like a "Garcia's been smoking way too many cigarettes this weekend" voice". Rough vocals + uninspired playing = a yawner of a show. My advice? Keep lookin' . . .

Holy Keyboards...
Earphones suggested....though I think any media would do this show justice as it appears to be properly mixed.
Garcia has the hefty-manwich voice going...belting out lyrics and ripping guitar riffs...
