RECORDING IS NOT VALID
Ya'll,
This recording plays waaaay fast... I noticed how super fast the tempos were, instruments are super fast and thin sounding, vocals borderline "The Chipmunks" quality.... so I checked with a 440 tuned guitar, and this recording plays 1/2 sharp!!!
Th that's not just a little bit fast, that's a lot fast. It distorts and misrepresents the entire sound of the concert and I hate to say it but it makes this recording literally useless. I realize people go into a lot of work with this stuff even just to upload it, never mind tape it and all that stuff, but I used to have to suffer like everyone did with cassettes of shows that were all out of whack, played too fast, played too slow, and I'm sorry in this day and age, every single one of these damn things on here should be pitch corrected and adjusted or just deleted frankly if they don't play back at the proper speed and ACTUALLY SOUND LIKE THE PERFORMANCE.
As for whoever said that this performance was not good and that Jerry sounded quote terrible, and gave the performance like two or three stars, all I have to say is I hope that it was this bunk recording that gave you that super critical, and to my ears, incorrect assessment of it.

The elephant in the room? One song after space? I'm pretty sure this is the only time that happened in this show format.

That's The Way It Was "The Last Saint" Circumstance ?
Attended This Show And In Fact The First Six Of This Tour.A Honeymoon Excursion That Led To 31 Years And Counting Of Blessed Partnership And Love. The Show Started Out Hot With Jerry Playing Better Than The Earlier Shows Of The Tour. The Second Box Of Rain Of The Tour Finished A Nice Opening At The Break Things Got Crazy On The Floor, So We Went To The Jerry's Side And Went Up A Section And A Half Or So. Half Step Set The Pace For A Smokin' Set II. Man Smart,Woman Smarter Was Good Then A Heartfelt High Time And We Were Set For A Grate Set List. Then "Booby" Starts Lost Sailor (Listen For The Feedback Growl From Jerry Seconds Into It) I Don't Know What He Had In Mind But It Was Not Lost Sailor. Coupled With A Trite Vocal Delivery And Animated Hand Gestures From Bob. Jerry Began To Seethe We Were Just Over The Speakers 40-60 Feet Away. You Could See Him Grinding His Teeth During Bob's L'l Rap About 4 Minutes In. They Managed To Finish The Medley. We Didn't Know If It Was His Song Selection,The Delivery Or If Jerry Just Took The "Lost Sailor Rap Personally. But You Can Here The Discourse Of The Break Into Saint And Bob's "Wiss Swatch" Comment, Whatever The Reason They Finished It And Jerry Bolted. There In Front Of Our Eyes Bobby Approached Jerry As They Headed Backstage And Jerry Lit Into Him. I Thought For A Second It Was Gonna Come To Blows. I Think It Was Steve Parrish Who Intervened. They Disappeared Then Jerry Came Back Out And Sat Alone In A Little Aclove Of Speakers And Amps Hidden From Sight. Steve Came Out After A While Leaned Over And Said Something To Jerry Who Furiously Chain Smokin Appeared Very Animated. A Short Drums And He Got Up And Went On Stage And Started The Space. Brent Joined First Then Bobby All Sheepish Crept Out. Well a Furious Dew Insued And They Didn't Do Lost Sailor -> Saint Of Circumstance For A Long, Long Time If At All. And Folks That's The Way It Was. Honest John

Just like a Swiss watch!
Again, sorry folks, this one is just
o.k. with me. Not sure why anyone would give this four or five stars. The sound is not that great, multiple mistakes musically, Jerry sounds terrible. There is a reason that this is the last "Lost Sailor". The only energy here is the "Box", the "Dew", and maybe the "Midnight Hour". In the name of sonic clarity I'd take any '85 board over this one.
Two stars, because it's here and I can listen to it.

Lots of Patches......
Lots of patches on this one, part of El Paso, all of Drums, and all of the Dew are all an audience patch, probably better off with the audience version of this one.Get the audience version just for the fact that this was the last Sailor/Saint with Garcia.Oh and the four stars isn't for the quality of this recording, but for the performance of the band.
