Subject: why they didn't finish the show
friends of mine on the rail explained to me
after the show why they didn't finish

apparently some guy stripped off all his clothes
and proceeded to masturbate

I see why Phil's mind was blown

This is a great sounding show! Phil comes in True, and so does everyone else equally.

Wow if there is one show I'd love to go back in time to be at it's this one. From the get go Jerry is lovin every minute of "Cold Rain" then the band dives into a sweet "Race is On" The entire first set is great..."High Time" being a definate highlight. "CC Rider" is upbeat and the band is obviously having a great time with that one. Bobby is high in the mix and he's just strummin along. Phil is just Phil...droppin the bombs...I love that :) Set 2 is killer...the "Goin Down the Road" before Drums is a real treat. "The Other One" is filled with great energy with a sweet "Comes a Time" and a rockin "Sugar Mags" to close it out....the announcement about the lack of an encore is priceless. Download this one...it will bring smiles all around. Thanks to all who are responsible for all this kind music. The Grateful Dead...just a good old American Band!

Subject: Day One of a very good Run
There was just a little sprinkle of rain at the beginning, and then some wonderful cloud formations especially through Jerry's solo on "They Love Each Other."
High Time Race is on etc. The Band was really enjoying themselves this weekend. They were in very playful spirits and I remember Garcia smiling a lot and gesturing to the audience.
The sound was huge, and there was lots of room to dance right up by the stage. It was a very high time.

Subject: Couldn't finish show
I heard this show back in the early nineties but never got a copy of it and have been looking ever since. Thank you for posting this and all of the other GD shows! Super sound quality and a bubbling performance nothing really that out of the ordinary, definetly dosed up. After SSDD Bobby mumbles something unaudible then Phil explains that JG & BW's guitars are broken and that his (Phils) mind is blown so no encore tonight! Pretty sweet for the nastalgia of the Dead alone. Thanks again!
