Sorry "deadtothecore" but try the Shakedown St. from 11/24/78 in Passaic, NJ. I admit that this is one of the better Shakedowns from the 80's but not the best ever

High energy evening.. I remember dancing my way from one end of the spectrum to the otherâ¦with a slight pause to watch a guy with a light up yo-yo in the hallâ¦.Cassidy was fantastic I remember the whole way to Philly from Charlotte all I said is that I wanted to hear Cassidy and it was sweet. During a very emotional Wharf Rat I ended up next to a man explaining the whole scene to a very unhappy woman. To all you Zappa fans it was a very Harry as a Boy moment lol. I hope they figured it all outâ¦
Awesome show, awesome memoriesâ¦â¦â¦.the parking lot was kindâ¦â¦..

I can't recall the first set well because I had the flu and was falling asleep from drixorall or some such med. However, I rallied for the second set. The He's Gone is nice and long and well played. Despite Jerry having trouble hitting the high notes on his scatting at the end, he is spirited. Bobby and Brent get a REALLY nice harmony going at that point. The second half of the set is tight and energetic.
after a listen, the first set was great too. phil is pumpin' on shakedown. sound quality is good, especially for the rectum, i mean the spectrum.
big bummer on this copy: baby blue is cut...right in the middle of jerry's ripping solo. too painful. get it from the other aud.

I've heard about this before but I didn't think it would be like this......
What?.?.?.?..... there's a 2nd set ???????????
Boy oh boy...remember that day???
Thanks for the A+ quality
Chunkability should be a catagory....
9.7 on the scale...
p.s. The scale is .3 off

Find a better Shakddown, let me know. Find a better, tighter, uniform first set, call your shrink, cause it doesn't exist. Missed 2 midterms for this and it was worth every note.

Jerry's guitar solo at the end of Loser is the best that I've come across for this song.
Jery sounds great throughout - good sound from an AUD recording.
Also very clear and tight on It's All Over Now. Long great sounding jam at the end of He's Gone. Good Shakedown... Nice blasting shots in Good Time Blues... Solid Not Fade Away
