My First Show
Sounds great. Bummer stream only, but at least it's accessible.

Nice show. Excellent sound quality. These '87 shows are often overlooked but after Jerry's near death experience in '86 he cleaned up (for a while) and sounded so fresh and youthful.

Nice Spanish Jam
What a great show!! It really takes me back to that night where I was dancing so hard that by the set break I was drenched. Ahhh well maybe it was the ecstasy? This could easily be my favorite show (that I was at). The second set is nearly perfect. Highly recommended!!

the security
I will echo the other comments about the security. The horse cops were out of hand and I very clearly remember that one charging into the middle of the crowd trying to go in and people getting totally bowled over. I didn't see the dude get whacked but a lot of people got taken out by that maneuver.

The 87 show I've been waiting for
Finally, after listening to many subpar shows from 1987, I have a show that is worthy of more than 3 stars. Solid all around, and contains one of the better Morning Dews. No major flubs, Jerry's voice is on, and the playing seems inspired. Not transcendent, so no 5, but a quality 4.

Who was hiding this dew?
Deadbase lists the "top" 10 Dews, 5/8/77, 9/18/87 are up there. How is this one not? I think cause people are quick to forget this show because of 9/18. This soundboard is fantastic, it has a little touch of the audience in it so you can really feel it. I will say it..this dew is top 3 people!!!

I was there, no sweat...
This was one very high quality show. I had no bad experiences with police, although I do recall that mounted police were prevalent that whole weekend. But back to the show.... This is the show that made me really love the work that Brent was doing. He injected so much energy and vocal depth to this show that I was amazed. I guess that it was probably myself that had overlooked his contributions until that night, but never thereafter. I sure miss his "heart of steel."

Great Show
I was lucky enough to be at this show, which was an above average for the fall tour. The Cumberland opening of the second set was cool, and the band played well all night. A note as to the security. I was in a very, very long line waiting to get in. It was taking forever because of the mandatory body cavity searchs taking place inside. The show was about to start, and people started crowing around the doors. A female police officer came wading in on a horse. I got pushed to the left (right at the entrance to the door), and the poeople on the other side were being mishandled by the horse's ass (not the cop). A nice young Deadhead said, "Hey, be careful before someone gets hurt." The policewoman wacked him across the nose with her nightstick, spraying blood everywhere. I kid you not. Luckily for me, the horse wacked me through the doors and into a truely memorable show.

1000Watts of power
This show was pure energy for everyone, the band, us, the lame security force. Every song was rocking. From Space - BMR, everything fit very nice. Lots of energy songs and the dew, gee whiz. Never had such a good time..........

I forgot how smokin' this show was...
From the get go, this show smokes. Jerry is on fire, and the whole band seemed to be having a great time onstage this night...wish I could say the same thing for the security outside the place...what a bunch of grumps...
Anyways, this show is definitely worth your attention for each and every performance contained within it.
A gem of a jewel...

Morning Dew
The Morning Dew deserves an honorable mention along with of course MSG's 9-18-87 as you all well know. . Take a chance and listen to this as well. Don't be scared, but " i guess it does'nt matter anyway" The boys were "ON" whole tour.
PS: I would love for someone on this great site to add the night before this. 9-11-87. Mickey's B-Day The 2nd set Sugaree needs to be heard...The whole show...
