and never stop listening to it ever! It's the best one ever IMHO though I always love a good debate. Just simply amazing. Soulful, understated, stately and just masterfully executed. The Organ riffs from Brent lock the groove in really nice and Jerry lays his whole heart out there in front of everyone during that solo. It scorches.
The rest of the show is pretty great too! Nice representation of the spring 1990 phenomenon.

Ahh, such fond memories of this first night at The Knickerbocker, (Or what ever it called now..."The Hot Pockets Arena" - or whatever ;-)
Security was *totally* unprepared for the night, and that was a relatively good thing. It might as well have been "general admission" as folks were pretty much crammed on the floor or sitting where ever they wanted to...
It was odd - the lights were still on when the band took the stage, and LTGTR was like a sound check in public.
THEN came what we'd been waiting for all of that wonderful Spring '90 show. H/S/F ! If memory serves, the lights were STILL on during this time, and people were finding their seats. Yes, the Slipknot is too short, but what there is of it is some of the most intricate playing I ever saw the "Late era Dead" perform. There's an great YouTube video of this that's easy to find, and it focuses mostly on Phil. You can see what a difficult song Slipknot was to play when done right.
Add to that the best "Loser" EVER, and a great 2nd set, and I feel honored just to have been there. (Although, by the time Stella came around the smoke was SO thick it was hard to breathe.. ( don't think they had any sort of A/C running)
All in all, a magic show in the middle of a magic tour.
Good times.
(AND, BTW... This recording is indeed, "the goods" Get it while you can ! It's the stuff of great trips...)

A better one you'd be hard pressed to find. Much nicer sounding than the soundboard, in my opinion, and an absolutely sterling show.

The other source with the most votes sounds like it's far back from the stage, there is lots of separation but this one is a few bars higher in terms of fidelity.
Yes.... The loser

Microphones too close to audience for me, but otherwise very clear. And of course it was a classic 3 night stand of solid performances, in what was then a brand new arena.
