Jerry's playin...
...is pretty damn good at times here. So are his vocals. SMR is nice--though the choice of Good Lovin' for the next tune is jarring and ugly; the midi treatment only makes it more garish and unseemly. hard to argue with bruce (ever) but i would still rather hear jerry rip during eyes than here bruce's piano. the eyes is good. btw, phil sounds great on TTB..
slipknot and franklins are good (even though the closing of slipknot is a tad ragged). sound is what every body says--kinda marred by his.
as always, vince's terrible sound cheapens the entire experience.

Great Sound Kind Of.....
I agree that this show is crispy as all get out, but all the vocals are pretty distant in the mix, and it has a bit of a hiss. Weir's guitar becomes audible by the end of Slip. Vinny gets turned down to a proper volume during Slip and Hornsby gets cranked up into the mix during slip too. I don't necessarily think it's the best sounding show on the archive as someone else mentioned in their review (but that is a pretty subjective analysis), but it does sound good. And the mix of all instruments improves as the 1st set ensues.
Jerry rips the Slipknot and the Franklin's, they're short but sweet. Man, the fat Man rocks! Nice placement of SMR too!
Hornsby's last tour as a full time member of the band.
Performance is a solid 4. Sound 4.
No other band that I can think of could kick out a SBD recording like the Dead. Much less ten plus years ago. They were so ahead of their time it is disgusting.

First Set Rules!
A better first set tha previous years at the "spaceship". The SBD does the first set justice, above average performance. I could never get accustomed to Vinces sound nor voice and Way To Go hone bored me to tears.Miss ya Brent! My Buddies first show,he was mesmerized by Phils Bass and the crowds adherence to their (band)delivery of songs. 4 performance 4 sound recording

Great for '92
Sound quality absolute top notch, nice setlist.
Jerry sounds as lively as he ever got in the 90s. The all-around vocals and harmonies are as good or better than you'll find in any show from any era, and the SBD copy usually accents every missed note- here it just shows how on they were.
Vince as always plays his solid cheddar organ. He's just plain out of his league with this band. I'd love to hear what these shows sound like with him edited out and only Bruce playing. Doubt I'm alone in that.
Definitely a pleasant surprise for a 92 show.

Best Sound Quality on the Archive
Thsi show has the best sound quality of any show I have lisytened to on this archive.
Now don not get me wrong, other shows are hot as well. Byt hte mix adn the overall crispyness of this show takes top dog.
ASside from sound quality the Help on the way into slipnot is quite sick. Franklins is standard. But the slipnot jam is incredible and I almost htoght for a second I was listening to a show from '77.
Its a great performance!
