They could have made up for the first night being cancelled ...
... but instead they chose to mail it in. I remember hearing a story about some guy who went down to the bar in his hotel on 3-13 to find Jerry sitting there. Jerry allegedly said, "Blizzard of the century, and I'm stuck here in f*&^ing Cleveland." That kind of says it all, doesn't it. The Dead clearly favored certain cities and venues and pissed on others.
Highlights of this show: jam in Eternity, jam out of Corrina, Terrapin, Stella. I guess Throwin'>Lovelight wasn't bad. That's it. Worst show of the tour and one of the three worst I ever attended in my 38 shows (along with 3-25-86 and 6-23-92). I'm glad I at least made it to two very strong shows at RFK that summer.

Good old Richfield
The show was fantastic. Any time Terrapin is played makes it magical for me. I kinda met my future wife at this show so that alone makes it magical as well.

Stella
Somethin' 'bout them Stella Blue's and the Richfield Coliseum. I absolutley LOVED this venue. Sounded great and just had some sorta vibe. Anybody who hasn't listened to the 94 Richfield's is in for a great surprise. Check it out.

Colder than Rain!
We were planning to camp! Like 20 inches of snow fell as we drove through western PA and into Ohio... hippies were stranded everywhere, and we took over a Holiday Inn "Holidome" complex. there were hundreds of folks who set up a Shakedown Street in the banquet halls area, the bar ran out of booze before dinner, and we ended up sleeping on the indoor mini-golf course that night! Crazy, and bitter cold outside. the show was highly anticipated after all that. The "Rain and Snow" opener was an obvious fun nod to the kids, and we ate it up! Killer Terrapin and jams that follow. We were really close that night, and enjoyed the interplay of the boys in the band amongst themselves and the audience. Fond memories of a harrowing experience!

Balloons pop in the cold!
My 1st show! Set list bites but the boys are ready (to bad Jerry sings great and plays like it's '93), Terrapin house special, Stella smokes, the IFTL is in reference to all the cats that got popped by the heat in chicago (the last venue). Not much to say, this show is above average playing wise for the time era, Vince sucks as usual (dude can't keep up) but in space it gets good! BEW is rockin', the storm line gets a huge roar...... we stayed at a mobile home park that was party central in a huge blizzard that canceled the 1st night, i popped two huge $5 balloons without getting a hit, my buddy still talks about the look on my face as i bounded up the stirs with them and POP he was staring at me through the window (one balloon was his) and he was laughing so hard, kid still tells that story..... 5 for first show, great memories

Monster Stella
This is a home show for me.The fisrt show(3-13-93)was cancelled due to snow.I actually think the playing is real solid.I am not a big fan of Corina but the end jams shines. Also the Stella and Ter. rock.I can remember the hair raising solo at the end of Stella.Well worth the dowmload for that reason.Garcias voice is also nice this night...thats right...4 stars!
