Subject: last show
I remember having the same thought I had in 76' after my first show, "I better see this band again before they are no longer together" I'm glad they gave me another 18yrs of travel, fellowship and vibes for a lifetime. I went to both nights,CR&S a favorite opener was not as prominent as usual. Out of both nights this one was better, not much into Vince but can't be too picky. Stella Blue has always been my favorite, Liberty stuck in my head for many months afterwards, Traffic was a good polished crowd pleasing set ,but da boys were better, still performing the best they could, over & over again. Miss ya Jer!

Took my dad and his buddy to this show. What a blast! They said they never had so much fun sitting in traffic as they did that day. We made it just in time for the opening notes of Cold Rain and Snow. My dad and his friend decided to go for a little adventure and made their way to the front of the stage? I think it was the Jack Daniels talking. I believe they had more fun then I did. Half decent show.

Subject: My Last Dead Show
This was the last time I got to see Jerry with the Dead. I had been going to shows since Hartford back in 1980 and had seen the Dead around 60 or so times since then. After Jerry died, I caught The Other Ones a couple of times at SPAC, but it just wasn't the same. Eventually kids and job commitments caught up with me and I havn't been to see the rest of the boys since 1998. I remember Traffic opened the show and played a greatest hits set that was pretty good. The Dead were just 'ok' in my opinion, but I had a great time as always (excluding the Chapel Hill show in '93). Nothing spectacular here, but at lease I got to hear Stella Blue one last time. "Dust off those rusty strings just one more time,Gonna make them shine" Goodnight Jer. 3 stars just 'cause. Aiko-Aiko!

This was my first show. I didn't know much abou the Dead's music at the time, and now I am amazed that I witnessed such a great setlist! The first day of the rest of my life.
