WOW !!!!! (Where ya' been all these years???)
I came across this GEM from some other 'review', referencing the "So Many Roads" performed on this night. (And for GREAT REASON too, it's ALL that was 'said' about this particular night's version.) But then I began to listen to the opening trio; "Help>Slipknot>Franklin's..." and "WOW" !!! Definitively, one of the most beautifully played versions I've heard in the later year's! I mean, with a pair of Skl-Candy headphones on, I stepped into a NATURALLY OCCURRING TRIP once again. With my passion for colored-lights inside, it only takes a SHOW LIKE THIS ONE, (with SOME OF MY LED's BLINKING), TO GET ME RIGHT BACK 'THERE', - without anything 'more' than mind-full sight/sound assimilation. Meditative listening, WITH THIS UNBELIEVABLE SHOW, THROUGH AND THROUGH- THEY'RE ON FIRE AT THE BOSTON GARDEN AGAIN !!!!!

" Hey now Mama come and take my hand"
This was the forth night of the huge last run at the legendary Garden. By this year we were all very fond of the old place and when it rocked, it literally rocked. This night right out of the gate was momentous. The Help> Slip> Franklin's may have been the best in a long time, it is fast, focused and flawless. The Franklin's is incredible. The rest of the 1st set is stellar, but I have to give it up for Althea and Tom Thumb some of the best versions in years. The Scarlet>Fire is huge and the band is fully locked and loaded. Jerry played his ass off this night,as did everyone else and Phil is the heart of it all! All the songs have the special nuances and qualities that clearly put this show in the top 10 of the 90's.The rest of the predrum is right on and Terrapin is epic. You get a nice jam into drums. The D/S is great and includes what seperates these shows from past years, pure improvisation. The post space may look routine but don't be fooled, it is at the same calibur of the entire show. Stella Blue is breath taking and Jerry's solos are bittersweet and reassuring with an extremely passionate ending. They totally rock out on Saturday Night, you can hear Billy I believe go "yeah!" at the end. The Liberty is one of the best and Jerry make a minor mistake with the lyrics on the last two verses and then proceeds to go back and resings them both correctly. He knew this was a perfect night and wanted it to end that way too.Sound quality is phenomenal so crank it up and enjoy.

best in 94!
This was the last time I saw the Dead play REAL WELL. Things got real sketchy the last few years from show to show but this Boston run was sweet. 2 nights after this show was quite good too, but not as rockin' as this night.
The So Many Roads is on You Tube if interested, incredibly special.
So, does the poster of this great music have it available for download? I haven't had this to listen too since the days of TAPE.

Terrapin!!!
This is indeed a tasty Terrapin. I haven't heard a lot of '94 shows, but it would be hard to imagine a stronger one. Listen and enjoy.

I rarely listen to much past 1990, BUT!! Check out this stellar Tom Thumb/So Many Roads--- both just shine. Great sounding mix, too.

Overlooked show
Quite frankly, I'm surprised by how few times this show has been reviewed--it's a sleeper!
First of all, hats off to those who recorded & mixed this show--great sound, with just enough audience coming through so that the energy in the place comes through, too.
The hands down standout of this show is So Many Roads. I stopped touring in the early 90's and so didn't have much exposure to this song, but it's great. Jerry really goes off (vocally), & it's a very emotional, intense version.
Stella Blue is by nature an emotional song, and this one is no exception--very sweet & sedate, w/ a nice soulfull ending.
Good set list & great sound, and overall a very very nice show. 5 stars? Hmm . . . well, I don't think I'll go that high. I practically have to have a religious epiphany before I'll give a show 5 stars (while others seem to hand them out each time Jerry farts) but I'll go 4.
Keep on' keepin' On!
