Subject: This show is amazing
Never heard better. And it's almost 3 hours long. I'm surprised these guys didn't get famous, because they're amazing musicians with great music.

If you enjoyed this show, you need to check out CHINGUS at the Bobolink Music Festival 05
up here on archive. This band shared the stage with Global Funk on many occasions, including at the Bean Scene, and at the Bobolink Music Festival. Chingus is one of Northern California's most under-appreciated jam bands-check them out.

Subject: The Bean Scene
Wow! This show is the heat! I can proudly say I attended this show, and it was a dance party. The Bean Scene was a cool place and Global Funk was a great band. The venue was this little 300 person Coffee house/Jazz and Bluegrass club. Many legendary shows occured at the Bean Scene and some are on Archive. It is wild that this show has become so popular because of the obscurity of the band and location.

Subject: Great sound, total funk
I don't know what reviewer were listening to when they said the "sound was kinda lame". That is insane. Get this and crank it up!

Subject: Check out Trunk Fulla Funk
Thanks for the show. I enjoyed listening.

If you like Anthony Smith's stuff from the Global Funk days, you shoudl check out his current project: Anthony Smith's Trunk Fulla Funk. There's one show up there now from this year, and more to come.

Thanks to Anthony for being so taper-friendly.

Subject: sound chatter
Nice effort but way too much crowd chatter especially for a matrix. Thanks for the effort but I'll pass on downloading this.

Subject: Good stuff
Man these guys are solid. I am spreading the news to all my jam band buddies. I 'd love for them to come to Asheville sometime. The music has a real flow to it. Get these guys east!

Subject: These guys are good!
This is a great GFC show, great recroding and a the band is feeling good. Check out the moon and though the encore is sitting there alone, "Demons" is very much worth the time getting. I think the best track of the show.

As a band I would describe them as 60% funk/jazz, 40% rock (to be as general as possible). Get it if you like solid jam with nasty funk riffs.

Subject: Redefines "Playing Their Asses Off"
I agree with all of the following reviews, even the one I don't completely understand! The amazing thing about this energetic THREE-HOUR set is the lack of duplication with the two-hour show recorded less than 30 days earlier. The keyboard work here is outstanding and by itself worth the disk space. The recording is studio quality and has more of a live "feel" than the earlier show.

Reviewer: MushroomEagle - [4.0 out of 5 stars] - December 13, 2004
Subject: Good Luck
I randomly downloaded this show for the hell of it...and was NOT disappointed. These guys have real talent, and they can definitely drop the funk. I especially enjoyed Spank through New Century Suite. That section is a real mind bender. Love the synth and grooves. This is a band all should look into.

This was a special night for the band. The jams were hot, the crowd was wild and this recording sounds great.
