Subject: Some New Songs, Some Crowd Noise
This is a nice performance, and an OK recording.
Overall this is a more Blues/Jazz/Soul oriented show than some of the Global Funk shows that are more Rock oriented.
It's an audience recording, and there's a bit of chatty crowd noise (including someone who decides to announce the band into the taping mics in the middle of a quiet jam). Nice folks!
Anyhow the show itself is pretty good. I really like the new song Doomsayers, and the last song (another new one) called Star Fokker has a lot of potential to go places.
There's also a nice take on an Ivan "Bogaloo Joe" Jones track, and a Little Feat cover (On Your Way Down) that I haven't seen in the Global Funk songbook before.
