Angela SainiGirl Geek Dinner (2006)

A group of IT girls meet in London to discuss computers and the web.

Girl Geek Dinner documents the experiences of three people who attend a girl geek dinner in April 2005. This is a monthly event in London at which women who enjoy technology and the internet get together to discuss their experiences over drinks and snacks. The film explores how society treats intelligent women and how alienating technology culture can be for women. The interviewees, two of whom are women, challenge the conventional stereotypes of being 'geeks' and prove you do not have to be a nerdy young man in his room all day with a PC to love technology.
