Jimmy's cover of "Shattered" is just one of many highlights from this great show. I didn't recognize "Dehydrated" from the title, but knew it right off from Dusty Slosinger/Clocker Redbury CD! It's all good, but "Magnolia" and the band intros in "All in the Pack" are highlights. My only regret, a lot of the band banter is lost. Can't wait for "Haymaker"! January 06...

great recording, dave. thanks. overall, one of the better shows I've seen. supposed to be 3 bands, but cut to 2. gourds were asked to make up some of the difference with an extended set. played 2+ hours. mostly stuck to the set list on the stage except for one kevin substitute (for the turnstiles replaced god's house) and one jimmy insert (shattered). lap steel and banjo made brief appearances after not being played for a handfull of shows. no song of the night for me b/c so much of it was hot, including: hellhounds, HWYS, red letter day, ants on the melon, magnolia, plaid coat...I stopped marking them hot at that point b/c it seemed redundant, but the rest of the show was all pretty amazing. like albany the night before, they stripped things down in the middle, I think partly b/c it was a long set and they wanted to pace themselves...but it worked for the crowd, too, who had plenty of energy coming down the home stretch. you never know with the gourds, but I hope this mid-set thing sticks around for awhile...it definitely gives them a chance to play things a little differently than we're used to hearing. p.s. on ain't no more cane: the band's road manager (jeff cook) told me after the show that the guys were listening to the basement tapes as they drove down from albany past woodstock earlier in the day.
