Scientists can now make precise changes to the DNA of humans and animals thanks to recent advances in gene editing technology. However a group of concerned scientists have called for a worldwide moratorium on gene editing to discuss its potential risks. Today we speak with Stanford law professor, Dr. Hank Greely about the medical promises of this technology and why scientists are so hesitant to use it.
