Goodbye the BandThe Goo of Childhood (Mini-LP) (June 25, 2007)

Goodbye the Band's "The Goo of Childhood," tells the tragic story of the girl who left the goo. Who's the girl, and what's the goo? Listen to find out. Also discussed are New York record stores of past and present, Captain Kangaroo's Banana Man, the state of Maine (thanks to John Linnell) and getting a government grant to build a make-out lab.

Approx. 21 other releases by Goodbye the Band for free.

Goodbye the Band's website, including the Pop Oblivion Record store. (Support the band if you'd be so kind.)

A brief breakdown:

"The Castle of Fury." Is John just gonna do the same thing as on the last EP?

"Others (Krautbeat Version)." Oh, I see, he's not.

"Banana Man (Another Modest Little Number I Wrote on the Drive Over)." Whoa, what was that middle section about?

"Maine." I'm glad John has finally recorded a cover of something at least They Might Be Giants-related.

"The Goo of Childhood." This is more haunting than Ian Curtis' death.

"I Need You To Test the Limits of These Rays." This is probably the best song on here; why did John stick it all the way at the end?

"You Leave, You Die." This is so corny, man.

I like goodbye the band. If you ever come to portland, I will be in the audience.
This first song reminds me of talking heads.
