Reviewer:The Libran - - February 10, 2006 Subject: Great Sounding Show This concert is a rarity given it's balance between older and newer songs. A few on this set Hamell doesnt play live anymore, unless otherwise requested. The version of Uncle Morris, for example, is one that people these days will get the chance to hear. Quite a few of the songs performed during this show are also off his 2003 release Tough Love, and are still very new at the time of this recording... so to hear the song close to the time of conception is a true treat.
As far as humor, Ed was on a role the entire night, as usual. He has quite a few moments in here that capture the essence of Bill Hicks and Richard Pryor. Its arguably the best sounding concert by Hamell On Trial that is available online. Do yourself a favor and download it.
