Subject: A Hand-Book to the Game-Birds - Vol.2
In his second book on Game-Birds Mr. Ogilvie-Grant continues his carefull description of the remaining species of the Order Gallinae, the curious Hoatzin and the Bustard-Quails. 221 species are found here (two of them described for the first time); studies based on an 'unusually fine and perfect' collection of specimens from the British Museum. Another 21 colour plates (signed Wyman & Sons, limited) add to the splendour of this book. An appendix to vol.1 is to be found at the end.
