In a real and proper world Jonathan's beautiful and epic, multilayered debut album of 1989 Storytelling would stand alongside Love's Forever Changes, Wilson's Smile and Robert Wyatt's Rockbottom as the unique masterpiece it truly is. In a better world Jonathan should be playing Storytelling at the Royal Festival Hall to raptuerous acclaim. In this world, Hieronymus Firebrain, who existed between 91 and 94, should be heralded as the innovative and important band they truely were. Only Jonathan would have the genius audacity to form a americanakrautrockcanterburyprogressivefolkrock band back in the early nineties and then make them shine with such brillance.
This precious live gem is by the last lineup and concentraits on songs from the utterly wonderful Here/There albums. it is needles to say jawdroppingly brilliant and one of the most essential downloads on the archive. Well that's my thoughts anyway. Download as listen and then tell me i'm wrong.
