Subject: A biased account
Subject: A biased account
This book mostly concerns itself with the culpability of certain Jesuit Priests in the formation and execution of the Gunpowder Plot. It seeks to show that the Jesuits were not only aware of the plot but that they whole-heartedly approved of it. The book displays a strong degree of anti-Catholic bias - it is published by a Protestant religious society - but does nonetheless contain a reasonable overview of the plot and its aftermath. It should perhaps be read in conjunction with other more scholarly works.
