The basis of the work is the manuscript Field book prepared in 1764-1765 by commissioners appointed by the legislature of New Jersey "for finally settling and determining the several rights, titles & claims to the common lands of the township of Bergen."
The atlas includes facsimiles of the map (in 3 parts) made to accompany the Field book of 1764-1765, also facsimile of the map made to accompany the Field book of 1784-1785
[v. 1]. Titles under the Dutch -- Titles under the king and lords proprietors -- History of the common lands -- Field book of 1764-1765 -- Field book of 1784-1785 (Secausus Commons) -- New Field book of 1770 -- New Barbadoes Neck -- List of marriages, births, and deaths, taken from the record of the Reformed Church in Bergen -- [v. 2].
