Here comes da king..
Nice fun little tour of The Canadiam Mint, circa 1920's. The machines here look.... anitquated compared to the common methods (the coin stampers look totally like the coin stampers you might find at fairs and amusement parks). Since it's the 20's, Canada is still British, British, British, and there's talk of The Trial Of The Pyx, which I knew nothing about (I had to look it up, it's mostly, yes, a British custom) I liked this. Very interesting and informative. Reccomended!

Making coins at the Royal Mint, Ottawa, Canada, 1920
Silent film with title cards describing operations at the Royal Mint of Canada in 1920, from gold and silver bars all the way to the finished coins.
It would be interesting to compare with how Loonies are pressed out nowadays.
