ideal standard 17/01/05: a subjective sinewaves compendium
A 60 minutes minutes walk, from ambient to (almost) techno, through the sinewaves collection, definitly one of my favourite netlabel. First broadcasted on RBS / Strasbourg the 17th January 05. Many thanks to Alberto, Mark, Hue, and to all the sine3pm family.
sinewaves born in november 2001 in a rich and narrow minded village in the north-east of italy. born as a personal archive, it changed its essence in something decidedly different. its goals are to broadcast informations concerning experimental electronic music, jazz, art cinema, to multiply contemporary art works and video graphics presence, to supply informations about historical events that strongly bias our society, to suggest alternative ways to avoid the massificiation, the homogenization and the mcdonaldization of whole human manifestations. sinewaves mission could seem useless and foolish. i think it is not. by the way, why don't try it? Reviewer:LAJ - - February 1, 2005 Subject: Sinewaves Compendium 60+ minutes of some great listening that will suck you in and hold you. A great of variety of sounds and styles: minimal ambient, minimal-techno, microsounds, orchestral ambient, tribal-like interludes, and even a stretch of aggressive percussion focused techno coming in at about the 50 minute mark. The first 35 minutes is very minimal with warm ambience, microsounds an tiny beats. This evolves into some very lush, cinematic-like ambience until about the 40-minute mark at which time an almost tribal-like atmosphere takes over and this then evolves into the heavy precusive-oriented techno of the last 11 mintes.
