this is great! I saw the mic in the glass front and center, never would have guessed it could turn out this well! Thanks again.

Hey, thanks for the comments, and the reminder on the correct title name. I've changed it now. I appreciate the comments! Basically, I had arranged to get a soundboard patch, but the soundman told a band member that "there was no line out" available. BS! And this was at soundcheck, many hours earlier. Then, when I arrived, they wouldn't let me bring my mike stand in, and called me a loser for not getting there earlier... and kept the upstairs closed (where I would have taped from) until ten minutes after the show started. So yeah, it was a hassle, but nothing major compared to a serious stealth taping situation. And I rather like recording from The Rail... Hope you find the show enjoyingly listenable... PeterT

Thx for posting this. Sounds like you went thru a bunch of hassle to tape the show, so kudos for that.
I think the song you call Broadway is actually named He Ain't Give You None.
So the GAMH staff were dickheads, as a result of which this potential soundboad is instead a rough-and-ready "Live From The Rail" recording - the microphone was balanced in a beer glass just in front of me, aimed upwards to catch some of the vocals in the overhead speakers... It's a great recording of Marty's bass! - and it's a listenable recording of an outstanding show with a GREAT setlist. I tweaked it a little in Soundforge to remove bass boom and bring in more of the vocals. And really, I love Marty's playing, you can't always hear it well on other recordings but here you can really appreciate the extended interplay between guitar and bass. I've never heard another bassist follow and counterpoint Stu so well. Enjoy!
