As I am certain that many users of the Archive group would attest.... Great quality is a VERY Relative word around here.

This show - has to be one of the Absolute Best Sound recordings on this site.

Besides the Quality - Johnson is about as stellar as I've ever heard him. This recording should be the used as the "Poster Child" for classic - Acoustic work.

It won't get much better than this one!

If you are a J.J. Fan...... Click download......Now!

Just the artist and his instrument with no production--a rarity in this age of mass-produced plastic performers. A keeper.

Subject: Archiving question resolved
I had questioned this being archived given what we'd had of the policy from Jack here. After discussion, I'm glad to say I was wrong. :) Policy page will now reflect Jacob Tell's comments.

BTW I haven't listened to this yet so my star rating on this is "fake", sorry.

Subject: Another great gem brought to light by boogie
Boogie brings the rare stuff up to circulation again with this Latitude 32 show. Very good sound quality, and boogie is right, most likely, this was sourced directly from the sudio masters. Latitude 32 is a radio show that used to air on the San Diego rock station ROCK 105.3. Recorded in Trackstar Studios in Chula Vista, CA (just outside of San diego), this set is just jack solo and he does lots of talking about the songs. Great quality, and a great find. download it!

Notes

In order to import shows to the archive, a date must be assigned to the show - thus the 1/1/2000 date assigned to this one. If anyone has any more info as to the official date, please let one of the admins know. Thanks!

Solo appearance for the Latitude 32 radio show (date unknown) The recording does not seem to be FM sourced as there are false starts and no other dialog aside from Jack's commentary on the songs; likely sourced from the studio master. I dont have the complete lineage, but i got this from a "friend of a friend" who got it directly from Jack (or so i'm told) It is also not clear if this material was ever actually broadcast.

Jack shares some of the stories behind the songs, and plays what amounts to a shorter solo, annotated version of the Brushfire Fairytales album that was released in early 2001.

if anyone has any more information on this show let me know (boogie@dubious.com)
