*DC Offset
*Enhanced EQ (parametric and paragraphic)

**CDWave was used to split tracks.
Total size = 661 MB
Thanks to Troki for sending me this great show.
Enjoy!
-Ben
Note: I left the EQ at a setting that was more enhanced than the original, but at the same time 'neutral' enough for those who prefer fuller high ends (or low ends). A simple EQ tweak or adjustment should be all that is needed to satisfy personal preferences.
Enjoy!

Subject: Hella of a show.
when I had not heard too many JJ songs.
& I saw the very end of his set at Bonnaroo in 02', but only knew his radio songs then.
So I wound up listening to this show like a 100 times & started
learning to play a bunch of the songs on acoustic.
Learning the slides & pulloffs & etc.
Super fun show & great audience!

thanks again to troki for taping this and for allowing me to master/seed it...
enjoy!
peace,

PS. to the previous review(s): lack of bass? please refer to the notes at the bottom of this page concerning the EQ adjustments and mastering. i never circulate recordings with NR or "excessive" EQ alterations. it seems like one person in particular seems to complain about 'lack of bass' with all of their other reviews for other shows....hmmmmm, interesting...check it out :)

Subject: Very suprised by this JJ show. Totally different / new sound of the band!
I had to quit jack. after 15 shows or so since the very beggining of his career in music, I just had to stop going to the shows. They were all sounding identical and had no variation from tour to tour. same sound, same songs (regardless if an album came out or not) and just uninspired sounds. I could appreciate it for what it was and I loved it, but after that many shows I had had enough. but giving this show a shot made me dig him again. really sounds like a more practiced / more diverse sound, and definately in a good directly. More complex and more textured music.
sounds like the taper is kinda far back. jack's vocals are kinda hollow. Sounds like a very large outdoor amp. the keys adds a new sound (Zach Gill from ALO, now an official band member). Adam Topol puts a great drumming onto the sound.
the 'clapping along' crowd definately shows up a lot and it is moderately distracting but at least they don't do it constantly. 'do you remember' now is kinda funky and groovy, rather then the simplistic / weird tempo'd studio verison on 'in between dreams'.
other reviewer said 'Zach, Dan and Dave Brogen with Jack' so i'm not sure what instruments they are playing, and now i'm not even sure if it is adam topol on the drums. this drummer sounds different stylistically then Adam's more mellow / laid back style. this show definately sounds like an 'alo show featureing jack johnson'
cool new lyrics at the end of 'do you remember?'. jack just plows through them and doesn't talk much between songs, as usual.
don't really like how 'symbol in my driveway' has turned into with the 'humming'. 'Staple it together' really smokes with the piano! really uptempo.
Dan Liebowitz from ALO comes out starting with D1t10 'constellations' adds a petal steel / lap guitar. 'breakdown' has a cool harp / flugohorn intro that really adds to it. Jack even mentions mid-song that he wrote it on a train going to france. The 2nd guitarist really adds a lot to the sound.
'Rodeo Clowns' starts out sounding more like a salsa / flamenco style on that 2nd guitar, and then the piano does the same style / notes. Dan Leaves after 'rodeo clowns'
'bubble toes' has a great few lines from 'Express Yourself' that JJ used to throw into that song in the early years. he didn't get to the chorus, but it was a nice treat.
'wasting time' has some 'sad to know you're leaving' tag lines, but again, jack doesn't get to the chorus. also, it doestn' really 'fit' with the tempo he plays it at. I liked it better when he did it at the tempo of the original version
"Dave Broken" comes on stage after 'tomorrow morning'. and starts on 'gone' which suprisingly seems 'off' and isn't a good version. "Belle" is a perfect fit for the location (france) since it is in french. 'girl i wanna lay you down' is a fun ALO song with jack dueting and an extra set of verse in the song.
'horizon' has a little bit of a different flair, and the white stripes 'doorbell' tag is a fun addition. and then right into 'good people'.
"No other way" is jack solo acoustic. "Fall Line" is Jack and Matt Costa. great version and then they transition to the matt costa song "Sunshine".
"better together' starts with jack trying to sing the first verse in french. he gets about one verse in and then laughs and has to go back to english. he does go back to the french during the chorus. the song also has an additional set of lyrics he put in the song that fit really well. it is jack solo as well.
show was about 01:45:00 total.
Subject: Awesome show, bad fans?
However the audience in this show kills me with all the clapping. It might be just me, but I get really irritated after listening to the clapping for just a short bit. This completely ruined an awesome show and an awesome recording for me.
I don't chime in much but I was particularly upset with this point I figured I'd see if anyone else caught it or if I am just too picky.

i love the cheers for zachs first solo and then the croud gets quiet ..the paris kids know how to enjoy the music

The French crowd was by far the loudest and simultaneously, most attentive crowd of the tour! These people know how to attend a concert, give their undivided attention and bellow cheers at the perfect moments. Even Jack mentioned how it was the first crowd that cheered properly for a guitar solo (by Dan Lebowitz). The sold out crowd of 7,000 rivaled the sounds of the 15,000 person crowds in the UK. Unfortunately, ALO could not play for paperwork complications, but all members of their band performed (Steve with Matt Costa, and Zach, Dan and Dave Brogen with Jack). Highlights of Jack's performance was the tour debut of "ÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂDreams Be Dreams" and a double encore after Jack'ÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs acoustic tunes with the full band performing Sublime's ÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ"ÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂBadfish>Boss DJ" and closing with Inaudible Melodies.
