Nice performance
This review is partially in response to another reviewer who mentioned the poor sound quality of this recording. I was at this concert, and have seen Josh on a number of occasions prior. This venue had a lot going for it. Nice facility, no cigarette smoke (no smoking alllowed at the Park West!). During the concert I noticed that the drummer was very cymbal-heavy. It seemed like every downbeat had a cymbal crash. The recording bears me out. This is a far cry from the first Josh concert I saw in 2003, where the drummer (Darius, I believe) was playing nothing but a snare drum. The acoustics in the room were very bass-heavy. In defense of the taper, the taper accurately captured how the concert sounded. This was also the first concert I saw with the backup guitarist, whose name I don't know. I enjoyed the concert a lot, and thank the taper for uploading it.

Great show, mediocre recording
This recording only gets 3 stars because there isn't much Josh Ritter on LMA. It should be a 2 when compared to other more commonly recorded bands. It is very bassy and drum-oriented. I've never seen a full band Josh Ritter show that was drum-oriented and this forces the vocals and other instruments into the background. I would love to see a SBD/AUD matrix though, that would really bring out the high levels!
That being said, thanks for your efforts in recording it. I appreciate any Ritter on LMA and wish more tapers would get into him.

Thank You!
I just found this...thank you so much! I have your recording of the 2-11-07 show at Park West as well...and I didn't even think to check for this one! This was the best day of the year, by far...

Josh!!!!
Awesome show. A very good mix of folk and rock. Specially appreciated Naked as a Window, Lawrence,KS, Monster Ballads. Also having Josh sing "the River" unplugged, two feet away was a special treat.
Hello to Rachel and Katie whom I had the pleasure of singing for before the show.
