D1T01 Adjusting Levels first minute of show.
JR played 2 long sets. He didn't want to get off stage because he was "feeling"
it. He said at the end it was one of his best show ever in Boulder. This show
was very high energy with both artists and crowd. JR had a 4 piece band with drums,
lead guitar and bass. All were very talented, especially the lead guitarist.
JR said the lead guitarist was voted one of the top ten guitatist playing now.
He was an excellent player and accompanied JR very well. A young local harp player
named Nick sat in on D302 and it was a special song. Nick and JR trading
licks. Nick held his own with JR.
I recorded first seat, first table third table from left side. I was right in
front of the lead guitarist and about 8 feet from JR amp. PA is about 15 feet
from me on each side. Sound was one of the best I had heard at B&G and even
JR commented on it. Sound of the recording came out very nice, first set low
crowd noise second set crowd is more rowdy.
