Subject: Interesting first taste of JSB
At a friend's recomendation i gave this show a shot. i have only listened to tracks 1-5 of disk 1, but it is alright. I love funk as much as the next guy but this band didn't seem to have everything i looked for. I think there was too much 'jamming' and not enough song structure. This isn't really a bad thing, but just my tastes in funk tend towards more like Maktub. more soul / funk. A great recording though, it sounds like they are in my living room jamming. Very full, crisp sound, and all that. Just not super hot on the band. still 3/5 stars is a good score..

Subject: This show KICKS ASS!
What a night at Pepper Jack's. Decent crowd, warm night in Hamilton and a rockin' two sets from the eat coast funksters themselves. Check out the Pigs in the first set and the Now They Will Know We Were Here in the second. Get this show!
