i had a great time at this.
danced my heiney off- the place outside of timeis magical- and the droplets is like John Shaft- One Bad mother......

Subject: A set for everyone to download!
I almost took a pass at downloading this set, having purchased the CD now at the Gathering of the Vibes. Having heard in advance to expect the Juggling Suns to go on at 6:00pm, I arrived at Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY slightly after noon. It certainly was not going to take more then five hours to get in, right? After all, the last two years at Vibes the line had been ten minutes tops. WRONG. The line to get in was horrible. By the time I got in it was about 6:00pm, and the Suns had gone on a half hour earlier then I assumed! Well I made it to the stage just in time for the last song, A Place Outside of Time. The song soothed me out of the frustration of the entrance procedure, and got me in the mood for the 48 hours of festival to follow. I was still disappointed in missing most of the Suns set, and purchased the instant CD as soon as it was available at the site, I think perhaps about two hours later. I hope the band gets a cut of the $15 purchase price. Two days later, after seeing fine performances from Assembly of Dust, Ratdog, and Railroad Earth among others, and just minutes after my return home, I popped in the CD, and heard the complete performance for the first time. What a great performance! I dont know if I am bias for hearing the one song in person, but A Place Outside of Time seemed to be the highlight to me. Anyhow fast forward to September of 2005. This download was made available. Great, but I already had the paid for CD. Well on the advice of a band member, I took a listen to this on line version. This new version was CLEARLY superior. I guess with getting those instant CDs your pay the price for a hastily assembled product. Marks vocals seemed to be too low in the purchased CD, a problem corrected in the download. And it is still from the board. So whether you are unfamiliar with Juggling Suns, and want a one-disk show to give them a personal audition, or whether you already purchased this set on site at the Vibes, this download is for you. And for all of you, I also highly recommend the Stonehenge set from June of 2005. They playing is just as good as this set, but without the 51 minute time constant.
