I agree with everyone except the first reviewer who im not sure why exactly he felt that it wasnt "perfect" enough as it is. (although remixes of this track would be cool).
Ive downloaded this song and enjoyed it greatly for some time now.... and through me its given interest to a few people; not only of lackluster but the netlabel scene in general. Its works like this, the diamonds in the rough, that brings real life to chill social gatherings ive found. "Someone play some music..."
"heheh... OK!"

I've got hours worth of music by Lackluster and this is one of his absolute masterpieces. Much of his work has a melancholic or even sad vibe [which i really like] but 071099 is like joy personified. Great overlapping melodies. Might as well go on forever. I had this on my mp3-player for some time and when riding my bike to work in Amsterdam it always made me brighten up, headbopping to this small work of genius. ItÃÂs free! You only have to download it! What are you waiting for?!

i must agree with adamm. this is one of my favourite tracks ever, not only by lackluster, but in the whole netscene. and this is one of the main reasons why esa ruoho does not surprise me any more -because he surprised me too much with these releases.

Well, when I've seen the first review, I simply *have* to express my opinion. This is maybe my most favourite Esa's track. I don't find it too technical - no way! For me it's really a funny one, full of sparkling, lovely sounds that often cheer me up. And there of course is a structure and moreover - a wonderfull melody you can't get out of your head. Or... At least I can't. Mr. Redwood, haven't you heard a completly different track? (As I know some of Lackluster's works sound the way you've described... but definitely not this one.) So, this is surely one of my top scene track of all times.

While there's a few creative sparks in the song, it sounds more like a technical exercise than a work of art.
Desktop publishing spawned the phenomenon of the "Ransom Note Effect" - users untrained in the art of Typography would use dozens of unrelated fonts in a document, giving it a random, haphazard appearance. This performance is the aural equivalent - it seems as if every button on the synthesizer board was used when creating this disorganized mess...
It's a shame, because there were some very interesting themes in the song and if properly produced and edited it could have been very engaging and memorable. I'd suggest a 'stripped' remix to uncover the beauty of the tune underlying this cacophony.
